About Nursing Home Rhymes

Nursing Home Rhymes is the advocacy platform of Steven Donahue, a retired professor and investigative journalist fighting for the rights of his wife, Linda Marie Lefebvre Donahue, and other nursing home residents in Nebraska.

The site documents daily visits, exposes systemic issues in long-term care (including at Prestige Care Center in Plattsmouth), and promotes resident rights under federal and state law. It combines poetry, journalism, visit logs, and legal advocacy.

Steven is a pro se litigant in guardianship and visitation matters (including PR 22-1652 and Cass County CI26-211) and a tenant advocate. The Nebraska Nursing Homes directory on the Home page provides public CMS-based information to help families evaluate facilities.
